Friday Reads - April 21, 2017
It has been A WEEK™, friends. A week I don’t particularly want to repeat. That’s all I’ll say, because I’m talking about books now! Hurray!
The end of Tome Topple
Welp, I didn’t get to the end of Empire of Storms this week, but that is ultimately okay. I had other things to deal with, and I’m not enjoying it as much as Queen of Shadows. It’s almost like it’s suffering from second book syndrome, except it’s the fifth book? I’m not sure what to make of it yet. I’m almost halfway through, and I’m hoping to finish it by the end of the weekend. But who knows. As always, I don’t get a day to recuperate or anything. I’m always just going and going and going. And I’m getting tired, y’all! So I might read less and sleep more this weekend. We’ll see!
I should be able to squeeze at least one more book into Backlist April, and I’m starting with The Duff, by Kody Keplinger.
Should I get through that one really fast, I’ll move to Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz.
But I might not get there. I might slow down a little bit. And I have an ARC review to get to, and a whole bunch of ARCs to read in May, so it will all depend on timing.
Does this post sound a little pessimistic? Sorry about that, y’all. Like I said, it’s been A WEEK™. Next week will be better, right?
What are y’all reading this weekend?
